HKLM? Is that "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"? Because there's no "Microsoft/Microsoft Games" in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE".
Ignore what I said above, Gorgorito informed me that it's in "WOW6432Node", and I found them, opened them, and both the path and the version is correct. Something else is messed up in my PC. But maybe what I want to ask next might fix it:
I wanted to ask you this at the end, after everything was done, but please, change the path to be the same as Asian Dynasties.
"Steam\steamapps\common\Age Of Empires 3\bin\age3y.exe" in Steam's case, so the same as the original game. Trust me on this one. Now, if for some reason we 1000% need a different exe name, make it "age3w.exe", but if we don't, just keep it "age3y.exe". Existing WoL players will not want to move their game to a different folder, it's gonna create confusion. Just make it the same as Asian Dynasties please.
And this might fix it for me as well because Asian Dynasties still works fine, Voobly can auto click in it.
People who install WoL overwrite their game anyway so they won't be able to play Asian Dynasties anymore. And people who only want to play WoL would be forced to have both WoL in the separate folder and AoE3 in the original folder and both would take up space (WoL is 12gb).
So to shorten the wall of text I typed above, please make Voobly look for the WoL exe in the same place and with the same registry entry as Asian Dynasties (Expansion 2) and if necessary, make it start "age3w.exe" (if it can't be age3y.exe). So no separate WoL folder.
Hi Chris,
hope you’re doing well. We just wanted to follow up on the information and details we shared earlier, as we haven’t heard back yet and wanted to make sure everything was received correctly.
Our community is really excited about the possibility of being able to play on Voobly. Even though it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the implementation will move forward, the community is currently organizing a tournament, and we’d love for it to be possible to host it on the Voobly platform if that ends up being an option.
There’s absolutely no rush. We just wanted to check in and see if you had any updates, or if you need any additional information from our side.
I really need an export of the registry key above. Thanks.
Hi Chris,
I hope you're doing better now and feeling well.
I’ve completed the requested folder structure changes and moved the binary as instructed.
I’m attaching the exported registry keys below (Steam installation, 64-bit Windows):
• Age of Empires 3 Expansion Pack
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires 3 Expansion Pack\1.0
• Age of Empires 3 Expansion Pack 2
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires 3 Expansion Pack 2\1.0
In the Expansion Pack 2 key, the SetupPath currently points to the Wars of Liberty installation directory, which seems to replace the default Asian Dynasties path.
I’ve left the exported .reg files attached to this post.

A few years ago, I was able to play Wol in the Asian lobby with anti-cheat disabled, but I tried recently and couldn't

Thanks for letting us know, Chris. Sorry to hear that, wishing you a speedy recovery. No rush at all, take care.
C:\Program Files\WOL\
Then copy all required into that folder and try again. Move back the binary from ./bin/wol/ to ./bin/
Before we can test this in the Warchiefs lobby again, you must export this key for me and paste me the contents. Thanks.
RegistryPath = HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires 3 Expansion Pack/1.0
